SG MOÇAMBIQUE OPENS A BRANCH IN NACALA
Secretary of State of Nampula province Jaime Neto, led yesterday afternoon, 24th August the inauguration ceremony of Nacala branch.
The ceremony was attended by city and municipal authorities, senior Bank staff, customers and partners.
The opening of this branch is part of the Bank's progressive expansion strategy across the country and it aims at accompanying its customers in order to serve them better. The branch also represents Banco Société Générale Moçambique’s commitment in supporting the transport and logistics sector and boosting Nacala's contribution to the development of Nampula province and the country.
In his speech, the Secretary of State Jaime Neto began by greeting and congratulating the Bank on what he called a "remarkable act" and showed his total conviction about the contribution that the Bank will make to the promotion and development of the Special Economic Zone in that city and to offering innovative solutions that can enable the promotion of savings and investments in that region.
In the same intervention, the Secretary of State expressed his satisfaction at the fact that the Bank had chosen Nacala as a pioneer in implementing the new concept of structure and experience offered by our branches.
"With the opening of this branch, the Bank once again joins the government's efforts in the enlargement of financial solutions access in the country, which is a priority and whose materialisation is taking place throughout the national territory through the presidential initiative, one distric, one bank.”
The CEO of Banco Société Générale Moçambique, Ridha Tekaïa, began his speech by sharing his satisfaction in continuing the expansion of the branches, having the last branch been opened in July 2020 in Beira.
"This shows our new ambition to offer innovative solutions to our customers in all the regions where they are located and to support the development of their businesses," said Tekaïa.
Tekaïa could not fail to emphasise the opportunities and potential of Nacala which, with its strategic port, is clearly an essential agent for the country's development in terms of imports and exports.
Finally, the CEO shared with those present the joy and privilege of having a great work of art by local artist Xavier Severino. "This reflects our commitment to supporting social and cultural activities in all the countries where we operate," said Tekaïa.
