TRUE NORTH

True North was established in 2017 as a service provider to support the development of Mozambique’s LNG industry.

After securing an early works contract to develop groundwater resources for the LNG project, True North began developing temporary and permanent facilities, both for the operator as well as privately.

The LNG development ramp-up, pressure for local companies to meet the LNG industry’s compliance requirements and the need for additional expertise, drove True North to transform into an Oil and Gas service provider.

True North achieved this by partnering with KEA Projects Group (Pty) Ltd, a project management specialist, providing engineering solutions to the mining and oil and gas industries.

The True North – KEA Joint Venture was contracted by the LNG EPC contractor (CCS JV) to build a significant portion of the scope of a reverse osmosis facility to provide desalinated water for construction as well as to, privately, develop and operate camp accommodation facilities for the EPC contractor’s personnel.

The True North – KEA JV established KEA Marine Lda, which was awarded a contract to supply and operate security vessels for TotalEnergies, under a Gardaworld subcontract.

The Transport Ministry granted KEA Marine the rights to construct a Marina in Palma for small & medium vessels, supported by TotalEnergies to reduce pressure on the Afungi port and improve access for community life support.
