The CCIFM is pleased to invite you to a Business Breakfast ‘Meet the Managers’ of Electricité de France (EDF), France’s leading multinational utility company & Europe’s largest low-carbon energy group.
EDF has been active in Mozambique since the early 1990s. The EDF Group has recently increased its presence and activities in-country with the opening of an office last year in Maputo. They currently work on two flagship projects: the development of the Mphanda Nkuwa 1,500 MW hydropower project alongside its partners TotalEnergies, Sumitomo Corporation and GMNK, and the implementation of the non-technical losses reduction project over the period 2023-2025 in partnership with Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) and supported by the European Union and AFD (Agence Française de Développement).
We will be hearing from the country’s two managers, Laurence Vabret and Heloise Lemaire. In addition from presenting the status of the aforementioned projects & associated business opportunities, they will be providing a group overview and sharing the key priorities internationally.
